Dear Mr. May,
Any insight you have regarding who should be contacted regarding the dies would be greatly appreciated. I have several irreplacable dies "on file" with Mrs. John L. Strong that were crafted by a now-deceased artisian. I will be heartbroken if I am not able to retrieve them. To date, I have had no luck in contacting the company with regard to this matter.

I am so sad that the current owners were unable to keep the doors to this wonderful institution of stationary open. Their products were absolutely exquisite.

Thanks much,
Amanda

Good question. If you have a monogram or personalized name and address die with Mrs. John L. Strong, that die belongs to you. Other than the metal itself (normally copper), it has little value to the creditors or those charged with disposing of the company's assets. I understand that several firms were looking into acquiring some of the residual assets of Mrs. John L. Strong and, if so, it is most likely that your die will be returned to you if you have a current address on file. In any event, I will try and find out how you may reclaim your die.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I ordered my business cards through Mrs. John L. Strong and they are exquisite, and have opened many doors for my business. When I heard the firm was closing I was saddened by the news but more determined than ever to continue to promote the beauty of this vintage craft. I would be interested in finding out whether you have any insight as to the whereabouts of the dies, so I may attempt to acquire mine.
Thank you for this lovely note about the firm.
