Whether you are looking for classic engraved wedding invitations, letterpress invitations or a wedding invitation with envelopments, bows and ribbons, Guild member stores have hundreds of wedding invitation samples for you to consider. Guild members have many years experience in helping bridal couples and their families select the appropriate paper stock, font styles, printing process and proper wording etiquette to create their custom wedding invitations, reception card and reply card set. Many stores will even address the envelopes and mail them. Machine calligraphy and hand-calligraphy are often available at a member store. Guild members are renowned for their service quality and the fine paper collections they represent. We recognize that each couple’s needs and budgets are different and member stores will strive to incorporate your requirements into the custom design process.
We strongly recommend that you schedule between one to two hours to create your invitation. Wedding papers, designs, print styles and fonts are so varied that some effort is required to craft your custom wedding invitation. We encourage you to consult the Guild website for frequently asked questions on wedding stationery and etiquette as well as descriptions of wedding papers offered by featured by sponsoring paper designers. As a rule of thumb, we suggest ordering your invitation not later than 12 to 15 weeks before your wedding date.
Guild members do not generally sell wedding invitations or personalized stationery on the internet. Selecting your wedding invitation is a tactile and visual process that simply can’t be replicated on the internet. With rare exceptions, we believe that most couples will be ill-served by purchasing wedding invitations online. The StationersGuild.org was recently established to help you identify a stationer in your neighborhood who has the qualifications and experience to help you craft the wedding invitation of your dreams. The Guild is a collaborative effort of independent stationers designed to protect the craftsmanship and integrity of this industry.
